Anna Margrét Skúladóttir

Anna Margrét is a psychologist at Mín líðan and provides online therapy sessions. Anna makes diagnoses and treats mental health issues. She is specialized in evidence-based, effective treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders and depression and has worked under the guidance of foreign and Icelandic experts in that field since 2008. Anna is particularly interested in helping those who have gone through trauma, grief and loss or need help with burnout/stress, depression, low self-esteem and communication problems.

Expertise and field of interest

Anna is very interested in working with people who have gone through trauma, struggle with symptoms of anxiety (e.g. social anxiety), depression, communication problems and conflicts. Anna only uses evidence-based treatments in her work, which include Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative therapy and EMDR.

Education and work experience

Anna has extensive experience, interest in and specialization in crisis and rehabilitation psychology, positive and healthy workplace resources and communication. Anna has worked in neuropsychological research for an international research and trauma research, and Anna also has extensive experience with specific resources in multidisciplinary work both nationally and abroad.
